Textile Collection

2021

Mönchengladbach

The roots collection is inspired by the natural principle of growth: Drawing from the forms and structures of roots with their thickened branches. The textile designs shows through yarn manipulation and structural layering. Felted wool and specialized weaving techniques create relief-like surfaces, while tufted variations use contrasting pile heights for sculptural depth. The earthy yet luminous color palette balances warmth with clarity, evoking a sense of grounded vitality.

Inspiration

The Roots Collection is inspired by the natural principle of growth in nature. This organic system mirrors textile creation: fibers become yarns, just as plants grow from their roots. From these yarns, we weave fabrics that carry stories of connection, identity, and cultural roots.

Material & Technique

Wool forms the core of this collection. Through felting, yarn manipulation, and layered weaving techniques, the textiles take on relief-like, sculptural surfaces. Tufted variations add depth with their contrasting pile heights, emphasizing structure and tactility.

Color Concept
The color palette balances earthy warmth with subtle luminosity. Root tones like clay, bark, and moss are layered with mineral hues and sharp light accents. The result is a visual language that feels both grounded and clear.

The collection shows a quiet vitality, drawn from nature and transformed into textile.
